Even an old account will smooth out most problems. It can do this yes, but from what I have heard so far is that is affects windows 10 users on any newly installed game, on rare occasions it also keeps on trying to install everytime you boot up the game.Įvery user has a different experience, users that have GFWL previously on their computer tend to have less problems getting GFWL to work than a brand new user. because it uninstalls your working GFWL and installs the outdated one Or doesnt do anything at all and just hangs on installing VC redistributable. P.S Thanks to the Skidrow Team for all the patches you guys have done over the years.Sounds like your a former user of GFWL, they don't tend to have problem unlike new users its the other way around most of the time if you already have GFWL installed. If there was anything that I missed as well please leave a comment and let me know If anybody has any problems please send me a message here and I would be more than happy to try and help. So once you get all that sorted out run the game, it will ask you to sign in, you do with your offline account and there you go, BulletStorm should work fine and you will be able to save your game. Luckily I still have an old Windows Live account which thankfully works. I would just connect my phone up and quickly update the thing and then create an offline profile from Windows Live itself. Only crap thing is, is that once installed you have to update Windows Live which isn’t to big (28mb I think) but for those of us who have no internet connection that kind of presents a problem. If you don’t have Windows Live installed you can run the setup from the BulletStorm disc from the folder “Live”. The game should run now and this is the part where you need your Windows Live Offline Account. But that patch will work on Windows XP and Windows 7. On XP all I did was reinstall the game and the title update and then the file was there for some reason. Remember, you need a torrent client (e.g bittorrent, bitlord etc) to download torrentsĮxtract those files and copy it to the installation directory in Binarieswin32. In the two instances that it happened to me on Windows 7 I had to manually find the file on the internet. If you try to run the game and it pops up with a “skidrow.dll file is missing.” I suggest first trying to re-install the game. Just double click on the “setup.exe” and click next. You can then update the game using the Title update from the folder. You then have to delete these two files from the installationī To the location where you guys have installed the game in Binarieswin32 Once it’s installed you copy the files from the Skidrow folder I think it might be something else installed on my computer I had no Anti-Virus when I installed this game and my firewall was turned off so it wasn’t that blocking it. I suspect it’s something on the computer itself that prevents it from installing. On Windows 7 I got to install it from the Auto-Run using the serial key 1111-1111-1111-1111-1111. Run that and that will install Bulletstorm completely bypassing the product key part.įYI: That error code in the beginning (0x0800b010a) only happened on the XP side. On the Bulletstorm disc, instead of clicking on the Auto-Run there is an executable file called “ Gamemsi.exe“. So if that happens to you just exit the installer. It didn’t matter where I chose to install it as soon as you clicked next it popped up with this damn error code “Installation Failure 0x0800b010a”. So I clicked on the Auto-Run and a window popped up asking you where to install the game. I’ve got the Skidrow cracked version and you need to have an offline windows live account in order to login to the game to be able to save. In case anybody does actually read this and is having the same errors I had I’m going to break it down into what I did. I mounted the game and started the installation and yet the same error occurred just like it had on the other two versions. I was so excited to finally install a “working” version of the game that I made no plans at all last night except to play Bulletstorm. This is the third time that I have received a version of Bulletstorm due to major installation issues in which I just deleted, out of sheer frustration, the other two versions off my computer. I got Bulletstorm from a friend last night.
